Meet Your Sleep Coach

Kelly Gorewitz
Certified Pediatric Sleep Coach

I currently live just outside Baltimore, MD with my family. My husband and I met in 2015 while I was a 2nd Grade Teacher. We got married on top of the mountain at Deep Creek Lake, MD in October 2019- right before the world shut down. I was pregnant for the crazy Covid year, and had our first daughter in September 2020. What a time! We spent a lot of time getting to know each other at home together, and then slowly started to return to normal life in 2021-2022. I was a full time Summer Camp Director then, and working away from my daughter more than I wanted to. In 2023, we bought a new house, moved that summer, and had a second daughter in November 2023.
After having my second daughter, I desperately wanted to find something I could do to help support my family, without being away from them for so many hours of the day. I was so excited to start learning about Pediatric Sleep Coaching since infant sleep was always something I was trying to find more information on for my own girls. Becoming a Pediatric Sleep Coach has been so educational for me, and I have really enjoyed working with families to help them through their unique sleep struggles. It has been so rewarding to see how these strategies can help families get more sleep, get their lives back on track, and truly enjoy parenting more!
My Certification

I became a Certified Pediatric Sleep Coach through The Rested Mama Academy's certification program.

The Rested Mama Academy is one of the few approved programs with the Association for Pediatric Sleep Consultants, an organization whose mission is "to promote the highest standard of practice for the professional sleep consulting industry throughout the world to ensure that client needs are met with professionalism, excellence, and ethical care."
My Philosophy
As a Pediatric Sleep Coach, my approach is never about judgment. Parenting is really hard, and I know firsthand (x2) the lengths we go to in order to help our children and the whole family get the rest we all need. My priority is ensuring that every strategy used supports effective and safe sleep habits, so your little one is well-rested and protected.
I whole-heartedly believe in the power of being consistent, however I know some decisions must be made that might not follow every rule every time. I get it. I focus on providing simple, effective, and realistic strategies that fit into your daily life, because I understand how overwhelming changes can be for everyone.
I also know that every family is unique and deserves solutions tailored to their own specific wants and needs. I respect all parenting styles, and am happy to provide different options for accomplishing our goals so that everyone feels comfortable with the plan moving forward.
My goal is to to provide parents with proven, evidence-based strategies to help their children learn to sleep independently during our time working together, but also as the children grow and change in the future. I want to walk alongside families with compassion, encouragement, and practical tools so that the whole family can finally experience the peace that comes with better sleep.
