from working with Kelly

Diane (VA)

Mother of 7 month old

"I had so much anxiety about bedtime coming- and the night in general. I finally feel good about going to bed now."

Megan (MD)

Mother of 18 month old

"I didn't want to do cry-it-out with my daughter, and I'm so glad Kelly showed us another option that worked so well!"

Sarah (MD)

Mother of 9 month old

“I was so nervous about starting new bedtime sleep strategies, but it went much smoother than I thought. Of course, now I wish we did it sooner.”

Jacquelynn (CA)

Mother of 10 month old

"I had the pleasure to work with Kelly to help my little one (10 months old) sleep better. She is so friendly and easy to talk to. She made me feel very comfortable and her sleep plans are thorough and easy to understand.

I am thoroughly impressed with the method she uses. My son was not left to cry alone in his room and he responded so quickly. By the second night he was sleeping independently and all night long! Mind you literally that same week he was up every 1-2 hours!

My mind is blown. Not only is he sleeping well at home but we went camping and he slept amazing in our tent trailer! He also recently had his first sleepover away from me, at his grandparents and he slept ALL NIGHT! I can not give enough thanks to Kelly for the support and amazing sleep plan! I 12/10 recommend her method and her overall!"

Malou (Denmark)

Mother of 16 month old

"When my daughter was around 13 month she was still breastfeeding a lot. She was very hard to put to bed and she woke up every one or two hours during the night.

Kelly helped me make a plan so my daughter would be able to sleep through the night. First I did not believe that it would be possible (and without her crying herself to sleep).

Kelly was very good to text me and check in with us. When I had a problem or something I was unsure about she was very fast to answer. I felt like she was helping me the whole time and answering all my many questions.

After around 4 days I could put her in her bed around 7:30 pm, and she would fall asleep by herself just laying and closing her eyes, and would not wake up until the morning.

I am so happy that Kelly helped us. My daughter is now so happy and well rested and I am too. Huge recommendation from me!"

Emily (MD)

Mother of 3 year old

"Kelly came to us with a full plan, an overview of the sleep environment, and a true support structure that kept us accountable but also showed understanding for the situation we were in. It truly felt that Kelly was in the trenches with us from the pre-call all the way through the days/nights as we progressed.

Kelly’s strength is definitely being empathetic and understanding. We appreciated her attention to the progress we were making, her commitment to finding new strategies when we hit a plateau, and her caring approach to finding a plan that met both us and our daughter where we were, without forcing us outside of our comfort zone limits.

We have seen such great progress with our daughter. Within the first week, bedtime was
SO much smoother. It was no longer the 60 minute plus battle with tears.

We recommend Kelly! We’ve already mentioned her to a few friends."

Frequently Asked Questions

for interested Parents

"What is the process like for working with a Sleep Coach?"

The first step is to have a Discovery Call together to learn more about each other. When we both decide to proceed, parents will choose which package option is best for their family. Then, parents will complete a questionnaire to share information about the child's current sleep patterns. I will create a fully-personalized Sleep Plan from the information provided. Parents will then implement the plan and we will continue to communicate throughout the process (based on which package you purchased), making changes if needed and providing support along the way.

How do I know how much sleep my baby needs?

There are many factors that we will use to determine how much day sleep and night sleep your baby needs. Things like gestational age, actual age, developmental milestones, wake windows, and number of naps in the day are all used to determine how much sleep your baby should be getting each day. I know it can seem overwhelming, but I can help you determine the perfect amount of sleep your baby needs to keep everyone at home happy!

"When is my baby able to sleep through the night?"

Obviously, this can vary from one child to another, however typically babies around 4 - 6 months can developmentally start sleeping through the night. We always suggest that you also confirm with your pediatrician that night time feeds are no longer needed for growth before beginning any sleep help programs.

"When can I start Sleep Training?"

As soon as your pediatrician clears your baby to drop all night time feeds (typically around 4 - 6 months), babies can begin sleep training to help them learn to sleep independently through the night. There are many different sleep training methods out there, and I will help you find the best one for your family! I most often recommend the Association Fading method, which teaches infants and toddlers to fade out their current sleep association so they can sleep more independently.

What Sleep Training options are there?

People typically think "Sleep Training" means letting your baby cry themselves to sleep while parents watch the monitor in agony. I'm here to tell you that is not true! I can share the 6 most common Sleep Training methods- from very gentle approaches to more independent methods, including the Association Fading method that is only used by my certification program! I will help you choose which method will fit your family's needs best, making everyone feel completely comfortable with the plan.

"I don't understand how to use Wake Windows."

A wake window is the amount of time a baby is awake between day time naps. Babies need an appropriate balance of awake time and sleep time during the day to allow them to also get the most ideal sleep at night. Using wake windows is essential when planning out their days, because their day routine directly affects how their nights will go. Following age-appropriate wake times is very helpful in having a consistent day routine, but is also key to having great nights!

Why does my baby sleep great during the DAY, but not at NIGHT?

Some babies have their day and night schedules mixed up at first. This is very common actually. I can help provide many tips and tricks for getting babies to be more awake, active, and engaged in age-appropriate activities during the day so that they will save their best sleep stretches for night time- when parents need it most!

Does Sleep Training cause harm?

Sleep Training does not cause harm to the baby, when done correctly and at an appropriate age. In fact, Sleep Training is a very important process to help babies learn a great life skill- sleeping independently. Teaching them better sleep skills improves their self-soothing skills, supports healthy developmental growth, and gives them more restorative night time rest so they can have more enjoyable days. Not to mention, the parents will also be more rested and happier parents for their children!
